Process systems engineering for biofuels production
Our research group has focused on the feedstock valorization and the development of synthesis routes and processes for the pre-treatment, conversion, separation and purification of biofuels.
Synthesis of adsorbents for environmental and energy applications
Our targets are to prepare, characterize and evaluate novel adsorbents for pollution control and energy-related applications.
Our research group has expertise in separation systems for chemical and environmental processes and biofuel production. The research activity is at forefront within: modeling, design and optimization of chemical and environmental processes, process systems engineering of biofuels production, synthesis and use of adsorbents for environmental and energy applications.
We have performed different research projects and supervised undergraduate and graduate students. Our international collaborations include leading and respected researchers from a number of Universities and Research Centers.
