Prof. Adrián Bonilla-Petriciolet

Prof. Adrián Bonilla-Petriciolet has been with the Instituto Tecnologico de Aguascalientes since 2001 and is currently Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering. He has worked as a research visitor at the Texas A&M University, USA (2003), National University of Singapore, Singapore (2010), Chiba Institute of Technology, Japan (2018). Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa, Portugal (2018), Universidad de la Serena, Chile (2019), Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, Brazil (2020), Pavol Jozef Safarik University, Slovak Republic (2022), Universidade Federal do Paraná, Brazil (2023), and Université de Lorraine, France (2021 - 2024). He has published 320 papers in JCR journals (Citations: 6318, H-index: 43), 26 book chapters and several conference proceedings in the broad areas of adsorption engineering, renewable energy, process systems engineering, modeling and optimization, and applied thermodynamics. He has 1 granted national patent and 3 national patent applications. Prof. Bonilla-Petriciolet co-edited 5 books published by John Wiley, Springer and INTECH. He has supervised 14 Ph.D. theses, 37 M.Sc. theses and 10 Postdoctoral fellows. He is a regular member of the Mexican Academy of Sciences (from November, 2014), Associate Editor of Adsorption Science and Technology (from August, 2016), Academic Editor of International Journal of Chemical Engineering (from April, 2022), Guest Editor of 4 special issues from Elsevier, MDPI and RSC, and reviewer for 229 JCR journals (1273 reviews). He has been a member of the Scientific Committee of national and international conferences (e.g., Equifase, AMEXCarb, AMIDIQ, Congreso Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología Ambiental). He has worked in 34 research projects granted by national and international agencies. He has been grant reviewer of calls from USA, France, Switzerland, Netherland, Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Ecuador, Peru and Kazakhstan. He has been panel member for the review of thesis from Spain, Colombia, India, and Brazil. He is the scientific leader of the Iberoamerican network for the valorization and sustainable use of biomass – IberBiomasa, which is recognized by the Organización de Estados Iberoamericanos (OEI). He has been listed in "Highly Ranked Scholars" from ScholarGPS® - Meta Analytics LLC, 2024 edition - Five years period category, ranking 5149/6270 - overall (all fields), and “Updated science-wide author databases of standardized citations indicators” from Stanford University – Elsevier, 2020 - 2024 editions, current ranking 1033/79314 for Career-long data and 369/79314 for Single-year data in Chemical Engineering. His biography has been listed in “Who is Who” and “Who is Who in Science and Engineering” editions.
