Prof. Hilda Elizabeth Reynel-Ávila

Prof. Hilda Elizabeth Reynel-Avila is working as faculty member at Instituto Tecnologico de Aguascalientes, Mexico, since 2015. She has experience in the development and implementation of separation processes for environmental and energy applications, the modeling and the intensification of environmental remediation processes and biofuels production. She has collaborated on several projects related to production and purification of biofuels and water treatment. On the other hand, she has performed research stays at the Stanford Synchrotron Radiation Lightsource in the National Accelerator Laboratory from Stanford University (USA, 2009) and the Laboratory of Advanced Materials from Universidad de Alicante (Spain, 2014), Extremadura University (Spain, 2022) and Institute UGT SAV (Slovakia, 2024). Dr. Reynel-Avila has contributed to the formation of 23 graduate students. She is co-author of 75 research papers in JCR journals (H-index: 28, Citations: 2,198), 1 co-edited book, 7 book chapters, 1 national patent application, and more than 150 works presented in international and national conferences. She is member of the Ibero-American Iberbiomasa Network and the Ipropbio, CleanWater, and Eulac-EnergyTran consortiums financed by the European Union. In Mexico, she is also a member of the National MatPore Laboratory and the Thematic Network for the Development of the Strategic Minerals Value Chain. She is academic editor of the scientific journals Engineering and Research and Advances in Materials Science and Engineering, editor of the science magazine Ciencia Cakotanu and a regular reviewer in international journals.
